My 2009 Goals

My blog has now been here for about three months and I want to say I have really enjoyed sharing my photos. The feedback that my readers provide means so much to me. I want to thank you all for taking time to come here and leave comments.
With that said there is something my friend and mentor, David, recommended. He recommended that I put my 2009 goals out on the blog so you family, friends, and blog readers can help in keeping me honest and on track.
It's been 8 or 9 years that I have been dabbling in photography but only that last 2 or 3 that I have taken it serious. In those last few years I have never taken the time to set any photography related goals for myself. In our conversation, I have come to realize the importance of not only setting goals but also acknowledging our accomplishments. It's now the beginning of 2009, no better time than now to reflect on our accomplishments and set those goals for this year. So here they are:

2008 Accomplishments:
  • Move into our first family home- done (still working on remodeling)
  • Shoot a wedding- done (4)
  • Set up a blog- done (2, one for Wicked Wicks and one for my photos)
  • Chris moved into a role that betters uses his talents

2009 Goals:
  • Purchase my own DSLR
  • Purchase a flash
  • Purchase a zoom
  • Set up a website
  • Get a logo designed (by my awesome husband, Chris)
  • Get business cards
  • Attend a photography workshop
  • Shoot a wedding as the primary
  • Get out and shoot at least once a week
Again, thank you to each of you for your continued support and feedback.

Great Goals. What's awesome is how many of them you met last year. I don't have a DSLR camera either. What kind of camera do you own right now?

Good luck on all of your goals for 2009!

Christy, while I don't own a DSLR I'm lucky enough to have a couple of really good friends that loan me their Canon or Nikon DSLR. I've actually been fortunate to have friends like that.

Thank you Jackie.

Your Blog (s) are awesome Angel and I am looking forward to wonderful pictures, perspectives and creations from you in 2009.
I am also VERY excited about our joint venture this spring. How's your arm feel from all the twisting I've done over the last 5-6 months?

David

Hahaha, my arm is a little sore. However I'm happy you've done the arm twisting. I really needed to use my skills instead of letting it all sit and collect dust. I'm really excited about spring as well.
