First Official Model In You Photoshoot

Last Sunday, Dave and I had the honor of kicking off the MIY project individual sessions with Malcolm. I've known Malcolm for a bit so we are fairly comfortable around each other. It also helps that Malcolm and I are both from Southern Louisiana, so we never have trouble finding something to talk about! Malcolm did great in front of the camera. He also brought us several outfits to choose from which is certainly a blessing.
We really had fun running all over downtown Bloomington taking pictures. My son Armond tagged along and scouted out a few good locations for Dave and I.

Check out the photos from this weekends shoot and please give both Malcolm and myself some feedback!

P.S.- For Mrs. Bihm (Malcolm's mother..I will get some graduation shots of your son sometime.) :-)

Earth Art & Music Festival- Saturday

Last weekend Dave and I went out to the Earth Art & Music Festival here in town. There were plenty of really cool artist, musician and some awesome art work. Jason Mack of Mack Glass Co., was there demonstrating what it's like to work with glass and answering everyone's questions. Wicked Wicks, the fire troupe I am in was there Saturday evening to perform for the visitors. (There is a short video on the blog from that night.)
Here are a few sample images from Saturday. I'll post again later with images from Sunday's festivities. Let me know what you think.

Susan and Pat's Engagement Session

This weekend I traveled down to St. Louis to meet a photographer from LA named Shannon Lee. We met up at the City Coffee and Crepery in Clayton. It was great to hang out and just get to know each other. After leaving there we met up at Forest Park to shoot Susan and Pat's engagement session. Susan and Pat are an adorable couple and were fun to photograph. Lucky for us the weather was perfect for a shoot. Thank you Shannon, for letting me tag along. Hopefully we can hang out again next time you are in the area. Susan and Pat, I had a great time and want to wish you guys the best! I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Feel free to comment and let me know what you think.

St. Louis Weekend Safari

This Saturday, while I was in St. Louis to hang out with Shannon Lee, I had a little time to kill so I thought I'd check out the zoo. It had been a while since Chris and I had been there and we didn't have much time but we got to see a few things. If ever your in St. Louis, you should check out the zoo. (it doesn't cost anything) The sea lion was awesome, it was almost as if I had hired a bikini model. Let me know what you think.

This tree was super cool! It had flowers on the branches and on the bark.

Little Comedians

A couple of weeks ago Chris and I were at the hardware store picking up a few needed things and decided to get a bird feeder. We didn't realize when we bought it that this would become the neighborhood squirrel hang out. Well since we put the bird feeder up we have had plenty of comedic visitors and one really unique one. I took these just to share because the poses they take are just so funny. Check out the little guys below.

Spring is coming!!!

Thank goodness but it's starting to warm up a bit after what I hope is mother natures last blast of cold and snow. I was worried my early spring flowers wouldn't bounce back from the 3 inches of snow they had weighing them down, but they did. Here are a few shots of the flowers in my yards. It's always nice to have a few reminders around that spring is really coming, it's just taking a while to get here.
