Last week I met this little sweetie named Lexe. A friend bought her a gift certificate for a session with me. Lexe is an adorable little young Yorkie-Poo. She was a little camera shy but she just couldn't resist my treats. She and I had fun together no matter what.

I photographed this beautiful girl a year ago for her family Christmas card. I was pretty excited when her mom called me to do it again this year.
Last year, Lucy was distracted in the studio by the sound of my pups upstairs so her mom suggested this year we try outside. It was a success! Lucy was fantastic! She sat perfect for her photos and even gave me a kiss goodbye before we parted ways. You just can't beat that.

Buddy is a sweet and handsome boy with an amazing family who loves him dearly. We went out and had a great day and a great session together. We started out in the park, Buddy liked being there but seemed a little nervous at first with this new person tagging along. Once we came back to my studio he completely relaxed and even started giving me kisses in trade for treats. Got to love a little furry ladies man.
This session all came about after a very touching phone call I received from Buddy's mom a few weeks ago. She follows me on Facebook and knew my schedule had been really busy but was wondering if we could set up a session as soon as possible. She went on to explain that Buddy had recently been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemo in hopes of remission. However the vet still said the best hope was about 3-10 months. Knowing his situation I recommended we go ahead and schedule for the next day.
Buddy, his family and I had a great day together and captured some wonderful memories. He is a wonderful boy who is truly loved and adored.

Note- Buddy's chemo spot had not grown back in so I edited to cover it up. My goal was to give his family images of him that would remind them the good times, not his battle with cancer.

I hope you enjoy the pictures of this big guy as much is I was honored to get the opportunity to capture them.

I Am Zim!!!

I like the cartoon and I like this little guy too! Zim's mom contacted me and asked if I would come over to Champaign to photograph him for his 1 year photos. I just couldn't resist!
This little guy greeted me at the door and in no time at all you would think we had known each other for a long time. It could have been my treats too. haha!
I had so much fun with Zim. He is smart, handsome and sweet. We had planned to go out for some photos but it was so cold out that weekend so instead we played indoored with Zim's toys.
He really enjoyed my infamous yellow giraffe squeaker. So much that I felt bad taking it from him, I ended up trading the rest of my treats for it.

Indy and Fannie

Right before Thansgiving I was contacted by a friend who's daughter was coming into town for the holiday about a session for her pups. The week prior and the week of the holiday had been super busy but I couldn't miss the opportunity to photograph these two cuties from Indiana.
Indy was truly the rockstar of the session. We made friends right away and after that she was willing to do anything I asked. She even posed in a reindeer costume and a sparkley top hat.
Fannie on the other hand, I think she was having a diva moment because her sister was getting all types of attention. Fannie would not pose without mom at all. Anytime we tried to get her alone she would try and hide from me. We tried giving her a little time, we tried bribery, we tried everything...nothing would work. So I did my best to work with what she was willing to give me.
I had a great time with these two adorable girls and their wonderful family. We are planning to get together in spring/summer timeframe and get some outdoor shots of the girls. I can't wait!

Justice was once a handsome boy available for adoption at Paradise Pets...that isn't the case any more. He now lives the good life with his mom Adrianne, who also works at Animal Emergency Clinic.
Justice was such a good boy for his photo session. His eyes are beautiful and stoic in appearance, but I assure you this boy is very happy. He loves and admires his mom. When you see them together they just look like the perfect pair. They are working on his Canine Good Citizen Certification together.
Regardless of the drool, we had a great time a plenty of good laughs. I will say Justice adapted well even though the studio was a whole new experience for him. I'm hoping once spring arrives we can get him out for some nice colorful outdoor photos.

Paradise Pets- host several dogs available for adoption. Stop in sometime and check them out. If you are looking for a Doggie Daycare, Boarding or Grooming, stop in and check them out. The staff is amazing, service is outstanding! My two boys give them 4 paws!
